PRO-WRESTLING ZERO1

Extreme & Exotic Japan!

"INNOVATION TOUR"

05/14/10
TOKYO, JAPAN
AT THE KORAKUEN HALL

Shinjiro Otani makes his way to the ring, met with a big ovation from the audience. He gets on the mic and welcomes everyone to the show, and thanks all who were in attendence last week and supported him as he tried to bring the World Heavyweight title back to Japan! Though he was not successful, he says Steve Elliott did not leave with his honor like he so desired, and he knows he met his match last week. Otani then goes on to discuss tonight, which has some big matches, including Kohei Sato and himself facing off against All-Asian champion, Kurt Angle, and a partner of his choosing. He then goes on to state that the WWA World Shoot Fight championship has been reinstated, and that ZERO1 will be hosting the tournament to crown the new champion! The tournament brackets will be announced next week!

This all brings out Kurt Angle, who receives a cold reaction from the crowd. Angle says that Otani is in a dream world if he thinks he has the talent or skills to be a champion in the WWA. He got beat by Elliott last week, and he's going to face an even greater competitor in the ring tonight in Kurt freakin' Angle! He says he tapped out his boy Kohei Sato, and he's going to tap out the master tonight... and he has chosen his partner, and flew him in from America just for this special occassion! He says he could have picked anyone, but he wants to teach these guys a lesson, and so he went with the biggest and meanest he could find... he went with DRAKE VYLE!

From behind Angle out from the curtain walked the big man, Drake Vyle. Vyle takes the microphone, as Otani shows a little bit of concern, but keeps himself firm, as to not show any fear. Vyle says that Sato and Otani may hit hard and know how to wrestle on the mat, but tonight, they don't go into that ring for a match... and they don't go into that ring for a war... tonight, they go into that ring and enter the gates of fucking Hell, and it will be Drake Vyle, the ruler of the Abyss, who orchestrates their death and despair. Vyle tells them to prepare for carnage, and start planning their funerals.

There is a definite buzz as they make their way to the back, leaving Otani to ponder his fate tonight.

MATCH ONE
TAG TEAM RULES

Shinya Ishikawa, Shoichi Uchida [O] vs. Akira Shoji [X], Kenta Kakinuma

Uchida managed to win this short little opener for his team, nailing a Diving Headbutt on Shoji for the pinfall!

MATCH TWO
TRIOS TAG TEAM RULES

Katsuhiko Nakajima [O], Masaaki Mochizuki, Hayato Jr. Fujita vs. Kamikaze [X], Takuya Sugawara, Tatsuhito Takaiwa

Such a wild and brutal match, especially compared to the match before it. Nakajima, Mochizuki, and Fujita were coming at their opponents full speed and full norce, using their kicking power and cohesiveness to really to put their opponents in a bind. Sugawara would manage to mount a comeback, hitting a spinning headscissors on Mochizuki and then nailing some big armdrags to get momentum shifted, ad then Kamikaze and Takaiwa cleaned house with some big lariats! Nakajima managed to get the victory, nailing a high kick to the head of Kamikaze, followed by his Death Roll to get the pinfall for his team!

We go backstage, where Minoru Fujita and Ikuto Hidaka do not appear to be on the same page at all. Hidaka is urging Fujita to watch some tapes and take their opponents tonight seriously, but Fujita says he won the match last week and will win the match tonight, and tells Hidaka not to worry about it. He says these guys aren't a big deal, and he's going to take them to school! Hidaka shakes his head in anger as Fujita walks off to do something other than prepare for their match tonight.

MATCH THREE
TAG TEAM RULES

Katsumi Usuda [O], Yuzuru Saito vs. Wataru Sakata, Shota Takahashi [X]

Tight, stiff match that stayed in the ring and competitive. Yuzuru Saito showed that he could take a lot of punishment, and did so thanks to Sakata and Takahashi keeping him isolated for a good number of minutes. Usuda was fresh, and like a machine he took to picking his opponents apart, really laying into the very good Sakata with leg kicks and face strikes that reeled him back to tag out to his less experienced partner. Takahashi in the ring with Usuda, at this point, was like watching a child fight a shark, and he was knocked out thoroughly with a kick to the face as he was on the ground, allowing Usuda to get the pinfall.

Backstage, we see Shinjiro Otani and Kohei Sato discussing their game plan. They seem to be leaning towards the fact that the best way to handle this beast that is Drake Vyle and a wrestler of the acumen of Angle is to come at them with a shameless assault. This means getting down and dirty and extreme. Angle will be out of his element, and Vyle will hopefully break from the punishment. They seem very focussed and prepared, but we'll see how they look come match time.

MATCH FOUR
SINGLES RULES

Ryouji Sai [O] vs. Daisuke Sekimoto [X]

Sai wasn't looking forward to being taken down by the big man, but it was only a matter of time. He tried to use his striking prowess to work his way around it, but Sekimoto drove him into the ground and seemed to be going for a Rear Naked Choke, but Sai got to the ropes. Sekimoto sent Sai to the outside with a big clothesline, but Sai showed that he could be formidible out there. Sai used a chairshot, followed by kicking Sekimoto's head into a guardrail to turn the tide a bit. He then jumped off of an elevated area and drove his boots into Sekimoto's chest with a Nachi Waterfall variation to get a good crowd reaction. Sekimoto managed to catch him with an Overhead Belly-to-Belly suplex on the floor, and that switched things up. Back in the ring, Sekimoto slammed Sai to the mat hard with a Spear, but only got a two count. He'd follow up with a big Powerbomb and headed up top, looking for a Splash, but Sai moved out of the way to give Sekimoto nothing but mat! Sai took advantage, kicking Sekimoto to the head about ten times, really dazing him, before coming off the top with the true Nachi Waterfall, but Sekimoto kicked out! Sekimoto would catch him with a big Half Nelson Suplex, and get a two count a minute later! Sai caught Sekimoto coming in with a kick to the face, and then unleashed a big German suplex, followed by a Sidmouth Suplex, which earned him the big three count!

Great match from both men, as the crowd reacted very well, and it is obvious that these two are going to be a big part of the future of ZERO1.

MATCH FIVE
TAG TEAM RULES

Minoru Fujita, Ikuto Hidaka [X] vs. Munenori Sawa, Madoka [O]

There was some definite tension between Fujita and Hidaka, while Sawa and Madoka seemed cool and calm, picking their spots very well in this match. Fujita had some great exchanges, showing his counter wrestling ability, but seemed a little too cocky and it cost him at times. At one point, he ducked a head kick from Sawa and gloated, only to have Sawa spin back and kick him right to the face, wiping away his smile quickly. It became even worse when Sawa then rushed it and smashed him with a Shining Wizard, earning a two count. Hidaka tried to rally it back, hitting a number of quick kicks and takedowns, but he would end up eating a double Shining Wizard from his opponents, followed by a Shooting Star Press from Madoka that would end the match! Huge win for this young team, and a big question mark for long time partners Fujita and Hidaka.

MATCH SIX
TAG TEAM RULES

Kota Ibushi, Masato Tanaka [O] vs. Takao Omori, Dick Togo [X]

This was an extremely mixed bag, but it was an explosive one. Omori and Togo are two very wild and tough competitors, and Omori was looking to be in the best shape of his life, as was Masato Tanaka, as a matter of fact. Tanaka and Omori started this match off hard, spending three minutes just blasting each other back and forth with elbows. Just when you thought they were going to stop, they'd go right back at it, showing no mercy or regard for their own well being! Finally, as it appeared "Wild Heart" Omori was staggered, Kota Ibushi sprung in with a Missile Dropkick to send him off his feet, which sent Dick Togo in. Togo would attack Tanaka, but Tanaka would duck an attempted clothesline, sending Togo right into a spinkick from Ibushi! Togo rolled to the outside and was caught with a handspring suicide dive from Ibushi! Tanaka would then grab Omori and toss him out, before diving through the ropes and hitting an elbow-first suicide dive onto his opponents! Ibushi and Togo were the legal men, and it was getting very frantic, but Ibushi seemed to have the upper hand, getting a few near falls with a Standing Moonsault, a German Suplex, and a big Victory Roll style pin combination! Togo would use a well timed low blow, followed by a Tornado DDT to send Ibushi to the mat hard, before using his gravity stalling Silver Bullet slingshot senton to get a two count! The end of the match came in brutal fashion, as everybody was getting knocked around, when Tanaka ran and drove a big elbow into the jaw of a sitting Togo to get the pinfall victory!

After the match, Omori attacked Tanaka with a chair, but ended up having the chair kicked into his face by Ibushi, who ran he and Togo off to the back!

Backstage, Takao Omori, Dick Togo, and Omori's NO FEAR partner Yoshihiro Takayama stand and are extremely pissed off! Omori says that he and Takayama beat Tanaka and that has been Toshiaki Kawada last week, and this week was nothing but a shame! He calls Tanaka a loser, and nothing but a loser, tonight didn't change that because...

Suddenly, Omori and Takayama attack Togo and throw him off to the side and say that they will deal with the trash named Tanaka next week!

MATCH SEVEN
TAG TEAM RULES

Kurt Angle [X], Drake Vyle vs. Shinjiro Otani [O], Kohei Sato

This match started out on the floor, as Otani and Sato rushed and attacked Angle and Vyle as they were coming in, and wanted to keep the pressure on at a constant level! Vyle and Sato went to war, blasting each other back and forth with chairs and trashcans and whatever else they could get their hands on. Otani and Angle were pounding on one another, but Angle used a cheap shot to the groin to get ahead, and then resorted to choking and gauging of eyes to keep the upper hand. Vyle showed just how great of a pain threshold he has, taking all of the hard strikes from Sato and blasting him with a big punch to the face to send him reeling, following with a kick to the face of his own. He then nailed a huge Running Powerbomb through a table to put him down pretty thoroughly! Vyle then came back to assist Angle around ringside, and things finally headed into the ring. Vyle would pick up Otani with a Gorilla Press and then nail a big Michinoku Driver II from that position on him, only getting a two count, surprisingly. Angle then went up top, looking for a Moonsault, but Otani caught him with his knees! Otani then went nuts, blasting Vyle with strikes and kicks, before running off the ropes and hitting him with three big jumping elbows and then a basement dropkick to take the big man down! Otani then went to the outside and grabbed a chair, before heading up to the top turnbuckle and flying off with a big chairshot to Vyle to take him down hard! Angle would rush up behind Otani, shocking him with a Release German Suplex for a two count! Sato headed into the ring and caught Angle with a Koppou Kick, followed by an Exploder Suplex for a two count! Vyle was back up, and Sato and Otani attacked him simultaneously with strikes, before whipping him, only to have Vyle jumped back with a Double Clothesline, followed by a big Uranage Suplex on Sato, and then Chokebomb on Otani for a two count! Vyle called for the end and tried to get Otani up for his Running Powerbomb, but Otani broke free and hit a Backdrop Suplex on him to counter! Otani would then duck and counter an Angle clothesline with a Dragon Suplex, but only a two count! Sato would then nail Angle with a Dragon Suplex, but still only a two count! Finally, Otani kicked Angle and set him up, picking him up and spinning twice, delivering a HUGE Spinout Powerbomb onto a chair to get the three count!

Hellacious match, for sure, but it wasn't over. Vyle attacked after the match, and the fight just kept going until the officials from the back could come out and break things up, which sent us into the ending credits of the show. What chaos! Thanks for watching!
